The Emergency Center's Dr. Eric Wilke and Dr. Jeff Erdner

24 Hour No Wait Emergency Room

The Emergency Center is a fully equipped freestanding emergency room staffed with board-certified physicians, ICU- and ER-trained nurses, X-ray technicians, and helpful administrative staff 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

At The Emergency Center, we believe in providing compassionate emergency care that is quick and efficient, allowing our patients to get back to enjoying their lives as soon as possible. We strive to make our services more convenient than those of a traditional emergency room, which is why we proudly take the “waiting” out of the “waiting room.” Our emergency clinics are always open and provide patients with the same high-level comprehensive care they would expect from a traditional hospital emergency room, without the wait time. Since we have shorter wait times, patients have immediate access to emergency care, which is especially important for patients with life-threatening emergencies.

Our freestanding emergency rooms also offer other advantages for our patients’ convenience, including:

  • Instant records – We provide patients with online access to audio recordings of their diagnosis, at-home care instructions and medical records, including X-rays, lab results, and EKGs for instant access in the future.
  • Discharge medications – We are often able to provide 72 hours of patients’ discharge medications on location, eliminating the need for them to make an additional stop on their way home.
  • Onsite labs – Our laboratory can run nearly every test that the labs in traditional ERs can, allowing for accurate results in a fraction of the time.
  • Follow-up telemedicine services – This technology allows our physicians to follow up with patients “face-to-face” after their initial visit through a smartphone or tablet, potentially eliminating the need for them to make another appointment at our facility.

We also offer observation services for those patients who could benefit from longer than usual ER care but don’t require full hospital admission.

In the event that a patient requires more intensive treatment than our emergency clinic can provide, such as when a patient needs surgery, our team will promptly stabilize the patient and arrange expedited transport to a nearby hospital, where the patient will not need to wait before being admitted. Our transfer agreements with local hospitals allow us to direct-admit patients, bypassing their ER, which is another added convenience.
